Best Paper Award
The “MCBD Best Paper Award” was given to 2 winners this year:
The MCBD Award is given annually to PhD students for an excellent publication in the field of: “Molecular and Cellular Biology of Diseases”.
This year we were fortunate to award 2 publications:
Maria Kompatscher, PhD from the Institute of Genomics and RNomics:
“Contribution of tRNA sequence and modifications to the decoding preferences of E. coli and M. mycoides tRNAGlyUCC for synonymous glycine codons”, Nucleic Acids Res. 2024.
Deborah Minzaghi, PhD from the Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Allergology:
“Excessive Production of Hydrogen Peroxide in Mitochondria Contributes to Atopic Dermatitis” J Invest Dermatol, 2023.
The awards are funded by the FWF-doc funds Program Cellular Basis of Diseases (CBD) coordinated by Prof. David Teis.
The awards were presented by the coordinator of the PhD program “Cellular and Molecular Basis of Diseases” (MCBD) Prof. Matthias Erlacher together with Prof. Patrizia Stoitzner.
